Travel tips (how to get to Kathmandu from Australia, England, Toronto Canada, Mumbai India) -
There are few direct flights to Nepal, which means most travellers from
Europe, North America and Australia have to change aircraft and/or airline
en route. Nepal's only international airport is Tribhuvan International
Airport.
Kathmandu- the capital of Nepal is air linked with Delhi, Bombay, Calcutta
and Varanashi of India, Bangkok, Hongkong, Singapore, Dhaka, Paro, Karachi,
Dubai, London, Frankfurt, Paris, Moscow, Lhasa, Shanghai and Osaka.
China Southwest Airlines, Thai Airways, Singapore airways/Silk Air, Gulf
Air, Qatar Air, Air India, Indian Airlines are the major international flights
that land in Kathmandu on a daily basis. You can have flight connections
from the place of your departure with these airlines to arrive in Nepal.
Note: non-Nepali citizen's require a VISA to leave the airport in India
so going through India is not a good route unless the transfer time is short
i.e. no overnight stay required.
Another Note: If you want to see the mountains (for which Nepal is famous)
as you fly into Kathmandu, make sure you sit on the right-hand side of the
plane! (If you are coming from the East otherwise the other side
